It’s been a while since I last wrote here, but I think that today could and should be the day for retaking it. ETA Basque separatist group has anounced that armed campaign is over, and as a basque, I can affirm that this opens a big new window to our future, definitely an important step forward. As I said before, we are in front of a totally new situation, regarding a lot of different issues, as political prisoners, victims, independence… So I think that we all, and by we I mean the whole world, but mainly those who have the power to, should make a big effort to get clear water out of it, and leave the mud appart.
A question comes to my mind as well. Until this day, different spanish governments have used ETA and terrorist issues to hide really deep problems within their society, so, what happens now? how are they going to justify high rates of unemployment, corruption, public school issue and a long but not less concerning issues?
I beg you readers pardon if my writing is not perfect, because my english isn’t perfect too, but I wanted to make it clear, and somehow international, I wanted to let the world know that today is a great day for the Basque country, tomorrow will be a better day, and the day after tomorrow…lets see.
